Biscuits and Gravy

Biscuits

2.5 cups AP Flour

2 tbsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 stick of butter grated

2 tsp honey

1 cup buttermilk 

Mix dry ingredients together in a bowl and add in the butter then add the butter milk and honey and fold it all in. 

Remove from bowl and knead on a floured surface. Press out biscuits with a cup or round mold and place in buttered cast iron. Bake at 425 for 15-20 minutes until golden brown on top. Brush with honey butter. 

Gravy

1lb country sausage 

2.5 tbsp flour

3 tbsp butter

3 cups of milk

2 tsp garlic powder

*I added 2 tbsp of Bourques spicy seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste 

Brown your sausage, add butter and once melted add your flour whisking constantly. Next whisk in your milk half at a time then add your seasonings and whisk until thickened. Serve on top of your biscuits.
